Litigation Associate/Junior Equity Partner


Chicago Loop plaintiffs' class action and personal injury trial firm, Glen J. Dunn & Associates, Ltd., seeks to fill two positions: (1) Litigation Associate with minimum of 3-5 years of experience to work up class action and tort cases. Responsibilities would include advising and preparing clients, attending court hearings in State and Federal Court, depositions and trials, legal research, drafting briefs and working with partners. Candidate must possess an ambitious work ethic, have a strong courtroom presence and be an effective negotiator and manager. You will shepherd your cases and conduct your own trials, as well as second chair major trials with partners. Employment class action experience is preferred. Competitive salary, health insurance and bonus structure. Principal will assist in developing your own book of business. Associates are offered up to 100% referral fees on all business they refer to the firm; and (2) Junior Equity Partner with minimum of 7-10 years of experience. Extensive trial experience necessary. Applicants must have ability to generate their own cases and referrals. Compensation offered is a mixture of salary and/or payment of all office rent and expenses, group health insurance, along with utilization of firm staff and resources for your own book of business (including firm funding of your case expenses), as well as equity sharing in the firm's major class and mass tort litigation that you work on. There is an opportunity to earn a percentage of the annual Lodestar you generate and to participate in the firm's annual profit sharing. The firm has more work than the existing partnership and staff can reasonably handle, so everything is negotiable.
